Hamilton’s deep German heritage is reflected in our historic district of German Village. This district lies in the heart of the city just north of the central downtown area and hosts many cultural events throughout the year. In 2013, residents of Hamilton decided that this was the perfect area to host an annual Christmas Market, and so Hamilton’s Christkindlmarkt began.

Our Christkindlmarkt follows in the tradition of German Christmas Markets held throughout Germany each year in communities both large and small, and features vendors with German food, drinks, music, toys, and other goods.
